Unit Two Blog

I do believe reasoning skills should be taught in primary school. There are several reason for this, one it will be instilled in children at a young age, two it will help them make important life decisions at a young age, and three it could help parents to know that their children have good reasoning skills. In my thoughts the earlier you can teach something the better. I believe children's minds can be molded like clay at a young age before they pick up bad habits it is our responsibility to nip these habits in the butt before they get to far gone. Another good reason for teaching reasoning skills at a young age is so when it comes to the hard decisions in life our youth can make an informed decision. For instance when it comes to peer pressure with drugs and alcohol our young can make an informed decision. They can way out pros and cons when it comes to many life changing decisions. Such as career decisions and sex at an early age, which both can be life altering decisions. Finally parents could breathe easier knowing their children have good reasoning and decision making skills. Would you not feel better knowing your children knew how to reason through lives decisions? I mean even in this day and age there are people I know that are in the middle of their lives and still do not have good reasoning or decision making skills. It seems every time they turn around they put themselves in a bad situations, when if they would have been taught good reasoning skills from a young age it would be like a natural instinct to them and they would avoid a lot of bad situations. This is why I believe reasoning skills should be taught in primary school.
